Super star actress Angelina Jolie has reportedly checked into a hospital in southern France where she will give birth to her twins, BBC reported.
Jolie is currently in Lenval Hospital in Nice and, according to the facility’s spokeswoman, Nadine Bauer, she is “very well,” The Associated Press reported.
However, the 32-year-old actress isn’t expected to give birth immediately. Jolie, who is pregnant by actor Brad Pitt, will most likely stay in the French hospital until she gives birth, Bauer said.
Jolie reportedly planned the admittance in the French hospital for some time and when it happened there was “no urgency” to it. The actress checked into the Nice medical facility as a precaution so she could be monitored by doctors. However, the Lenval Hospital mouthpiece refused to say when Jolie had checked in.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, 44, already have a daughter together. Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt was born in Namibia two years ago. Brangelina has also adopted three more children: Cambodian-born son Maddox, 6; daughter Zahara, 3, from Ethiopia and Pax, 4, from Vietnam.
Jolie said that she had twins at the Cannes Film Festival after her Kung Fu Panda co-star Jack Black accidentally talked about them in a red carpet interview. The actress said the twins, reported to be girls, are due in August.
Speculation regarding the birth Jolie and Pitt’s twins has been huge and the event has been incorrectly reported on more than one occasion. Britain's Now magazine has even said it knows the names of the new members of the Jolie-Pitt family: Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane.
Update: According to the reports from the French media, doctor Michel Sussmann, who is currently taking care of Angelina Jolie, will offer more details tomorrow, July 2, in a press conference, that is scheduled for the afternoon.
A spokeperson for Angelina Jolie has confirmed for Reuters that the actress is doing fine and she is very healthy and very happy.
However, she declined to give more details about her medical status and to confirm if she is receiving a certain treatment.
