Christian Bale Arrested and Released After Alleged Assault on His Mother
The European release of the latest movie in the Batman franchise was tainted after an event involving the film's star and lead actor Christian Bale took place in London. The actor's mother and sister have told the British police that Bale assaulted them at the Dorchester Hotel on Sunday Night, just a day before the official release of the movie in theaters across Europe.

Christian Bale went on his own accord to a police station in the center of the city, where he spent about 4 hours being interrogated on the events, and was eventually released on bail. The actor allegedly told the police that he has not assaulted his mother and sister and that he was only in a violent verbal dispute with them. According to people familiar with the events, Mr. Bale will have to come back to talk to the police sometime in September.

The New York Daily News published an article that says that the dispute started as his mother told Bale some things about his wife that made the actor burst with anger. According to the newspaper, a friend of the actor told that 'Christian was stressed, but he didn't lay a finger on anyone. Instead, he flew off the handle and cussed his mother.”

Besides the promotion tour around the world for the release of “The Dark Knight,” Christian Bale is also scheduled to shoot for the “Terminator Salvation” movie in which he plays the role of John Connors. Both appointments are said not be disturbed by the London event.
