Chinese Web Site Masquerades Official Gov Awareness Resource Site

It is known by everybody that when you forbid a child to do something, he or she becomes even more attracted to that action or object. This is the same with people, who are nothing else than grown up children after all. And when it comes to hackers, well, the hackers are quite children although they are not so innocent as our babies. What we’re trying to emphasis here is the fact that when you forbid a powerful person to knock at your door, he or she will eventually break the door. This is at least how things are in China, where this country’s war against the Internet users’ virtual freedom has made some “bad guys” to build a web site that is masquerading  one of the overprotecting country’s awareness resource web sites. But this move has probably made nothing else than to irritate even more the Chinese Communist watchdog.

The masquerading web site has been apparently set up for promoting a diabetes medication, according to china.com, the popular web site that is being run by the Chinese gov forces. However, although it also looks very similar to the State Food and Drug Administration’s real web site (sda.gov.cn), the masquerading web site has a totally different address. And on Thursday it has been still in function!

“This site is definitely not for real. […] These lawbreakers have got some balls!” – a official at the regulator has been quoted as saying.

However, this web site has been launched probably also in relation with China’s currently being in the midst of a crackdown on the makers of shoddy drugs after a series of scandals that have tainted China’s reputation.
