The news about Paul McCartney’s new fling with Nancy Shevell, a married American millionaires, reached the former Beatle’s ex-wife, Heather Mills, who wished him "all the best," Daily Mirror reported.
Although at first Mills was reportedly "furious" with McCartney after seeing pictures of him and his new lady friend getting cozy with Shevell in New York resort the Hamptons last weekend, she denied the rumors during a TV appearance this morning, Daily Mirror reported.
"In that situation with Paul, there was no phone call, there was no tears and tantrums - there was nothing," Mills explained.
"Basically I just said 'I wish you all the best' and that was it, when we did swap over. It's none of anybody's business what happens in Paul's love life," she added.
It was initially reported that Mills, who was married to McCartney for four years, was angry with the singer because he didn’t inform her personally.
"She rang him and there was a huge row. Heather asked what the hell he thought he was up to. She was furious because he hadn't told her about Nancy himself," a source told Daily Mail.
"She asked him how he thinks their daughter Beatrice would feel to see her dad and his new girlfriend splashed all over the newspapers. Paul couldn't believe Heather thought she could take the moral high ground after viciously attacking him on TV last week," the source added.
Pictures of the 65-year-old musician snuggling 47-year-old Nancy Shevell, a member of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority board, were published in The Sun of London several days ago.
According to the tabloid, the two lovebirds spent their entire last weekend together in the Hamptons. They were spotted out on a romantic dinner at an East Hampton restaurant on Friday that lasted until 3 a.m. and visited each other's homes on Saturday. The weekend wrapped up romantically with the two of them kissing before arriving at her mansion.
Actually, the couple was seen canoodling in the Hamptons at least six times in recent months.
"They usually eat at Nichol’s," one Hamptons store manager was quoted by the Boston Herald as saying. "It’s not fresh. It’s been going on for a while."
Moreover, McCartney paid Shevell a visit at her London hotel room in October while he and his former wife were in the midst of their divorce.
