The Las Vegas International Consumer Electronics Show that starts Monday will host some of the biggest names in the tech industry, from mobile phone gadgets and software development, to the latest laptops and car navigation systems.

Among the highly expected names at this year’s biggest tech display will be LG Electronics Inc., the South Korean producer, who announced the Mobile Pedestrian Handheld technology, which encourages the consumers to watch digital TV programs on their mobile phones and even GPS. LG has been working on this type of technology ever since 2006, investing over $7.5 million and it is very decided to make it appealing to the US customers.

According to Bloomberg.com, Kim Gyeong, a company representative, said the portable deviced will be equipped with Mobile Pedestrian Handheld (MPH) chips that will enable the live broadcasting of TV shows even in a car traveling as fast as 90 kilometers per hour (56 miles per hour).

Another Asian developer, Panasonic Audio Visual Networks Company, will put on display its latest ultra-slim, 32-inch LCD TVs, expected to become available on the market beginning with next year. The company presented its 32-inch TVs at Ceatec last October, and also plans on conquering the US market with its latest technologies and gadgets.

The wireless technology reached a peak in the past year, and Platinum Wireless will be there to show CES visitors just that. “We are very excited to be showcasing at the upcoming CES show,” said Jeff Javidazd, Platinum Wireless CEO.

The company is set to give a lesson on how to increase the degree of profitability by offering third party applications, which will definitely expand the use of its Sprint and Nextel mobile phones. “With such a competitive market, exhibiting at CES is a given, because it differentiates us from the competition […]We pride ourselves as being a staple in the wireless industry, “ said the Platinum Wireless president, Baze Melamed.

The show will cover a total of 1.85 million square feet of exhibition square, including the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Sands Expo and Convention Center, the Las Vegas Hilton and Venetian Hotels. Over 110 countries will participate on this amazing display of latest technology, and CES 2008 will prove to be once again, without the doubt, a great success for the tech industry.
