13-Year-Old Boy Stabs Three Students

According to police officials, on Wednesday a 13-year-old boy stabbed three of his colleagues at a high school near Reading.

The boy brought knives and propane torch at the Antietam Middle-Senior High School in Lower Alsace Township and stabbed a 16-year-old girl and two other students.

He was then disarmed by the school officials and taken into police custody.

After the incident the students were taken by buses to another building.

According to police the 13-year-old student who wasn’t named, brought to school two bags with knives, firecrackers, a respirator, a can of gasoline and a bottle with fuel, the Associated Press reports.

After 8 a.m. he entered a first-period English class and grabbed a 16-year-old girl. He threw her to the floor and began to stab her.

Her class mates jumped to help her and disarmed him.

Tim Hauck, 14 said the boy was wearing a dark trench coat and earphones and started to turn the desks and light firecrackers.

Hauck ran out of the classroom for help.

After the boy ran on the hallway he was confronted by Principal James Snyder and a math teacher. They’ve talked to the boy for about 15 minutes and tried to convince him to come to the principal’s office. He refused to do so and a teacher came behind him and knocked the propane canister from his hand.

Snyder said: "He was mad at a lot of people and a lot of things, and the school.”

"He used the word ‘hate’ frequently," Snyder added. "I hate the school; I hate you," the Philadelphia Inquirer said.

The boy was known as a quiet student so his motive comes as a shock to officials.

The boy left a note at home for his mother saying: "Mom, I'm so sorry. I love you. Goodbye."

The principal said that there weren’t any signs to see this coming.

A student, Mckenzie Okonski, 13, who knew the boy, said that he was not getting along with other students and that many were mocking him. The boy threatened that he will get his revenge.

Another girl of 15 years old and a boy of 14 years old were treated at the hospital along with the 16-year-old girl, for a wound on the upper back and for another one at the upper right arm.

The students were taken to another block of the school. According to officials, the school will be opened today.
