Even though numbers were low, after nine weeks in the chart, Alicia Keys’ “As I Am” topped the U.S. pop album charts last week with over 70,000 copies sold, returning to its spot.

The album debuted in mid-November at the top of the 200 Billboard album chart with 742,450 copies sold. Ever since then it hasn'’t left the top three, swinging between No. 2 and No. 3 position.

“As I Am” sent Radiohead’s “In rainbows” to No. 2, with 69,000 copies in the second week in the chart.

At No. 3 we find the “Juno” soundtrack which climbed five places having 68,000 copies sold in what was the worst week in album sales.

The movie also occupies number 3 at the U.S. box office, with sales of $72 million.

“Growing Pains” from Mary J. Blige with sales of 64,000 falls one place to No. 4 and at No. 5 we find the self-titled album of country newcomer Taylor Swift with 35,000 copies sold.

At No. 6 it’s the 26 th edition of the “Now That's What I Call Music!” compilation series with 33,000 units sold, thus slipping two places.

With only 30,000 copies sold, Chris Brown’s “Exclusive” s drops one place and we find him at No. 7 in the album charts.

The Eagles' "Long Road Out of Eden" comes at No. 8 with 29,000 units sold and thus rising two places.

At No. 9 with 28,000 copies sold “The Ultimate Hits” from Garth Brooks drops one spot while Fergie's "The Dutchess" gains two spots and reaches No. 10 with 28,000 units sold.

Other albums in the chart which recorded sales increase is the debut album of Australian pop singer Sia, whose "Some People Have Real Problems" enters at No. 26 with 20,000.

Another new entry in the chart is Kate Nash’s album “Made of Bricks” at No. 36 with 16,400.

The figures were released by SoundScan for the week which ended January 13 and it showed that album sales have dropped 20 % from the last week to 7.25 million copies, Reuters reports.
