Arangements for Heath Ledger’s funeral
continue to be a secret, as his body was taken Friday from a Manhattan funeral
home, the Chicago-Sun Times quoted Ledger’s publicist, Mara Buxbaum.
'' [The arrangement] will continue to be
private at the family request, '' she said.
Ledger’s body was removed around 4 p.m. from
Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home on the Upper East Side and was driven in a
hearse.
Australian Foreign Minister Stephen Smith said
his government would do anything just to help Ledger’s family to bring their
son’s body back home to Australia.
Meanwhile the police said they would not
interview actress Mary-Kate Olsen, the first person the masseuze, who found the
actor’s body in a Manhattan appartement Tuesday, called.
''Heath was a friend. His death is a tragic
loss. My thoughts are with his family during this very difficult time,'' were
the first words of the actress since Ledger’s death quoted by The Times.
According to police, the masseuze, named Diana
Wolozin, made three calls to Olsen before dialing 911 for help, then called
Olsen the fourth time after paramedics arrived.
"The detectives felt they had enough from
the witnesses at the scene. The detectives made a determination that they had
enough information. If they needed to interview, they might have done that,"
Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne said, dismissing any controversy about what the
police have found at Ledger’s appartment, Tuesday.
Meanwhile Ledger’s family wrote a notice for
The West Ausralian, calling their son, "the most amazing 'old soul' in a
young man's body." Ledger’s sister, Kate could hardly refrain her tears
while writing her tribute to, as how she called him, "just my little
brother" and the "ultimate" soul mate.
According to the New York City Medical
Examiner spokesperson Ellen Borakove, the actor’s "autopsy was
inconclusive. We have to do further testing including toxicology and tissue
testing. Neither cause of death or manner of death has been concluded. We
expect additional results in 10 days to two weeks," she said quoted by
People.
Prescription sleeping pills and anti-anxiety
pills were found in bottles in Ledger’s bedroom and bathroom.
