Turns out, there’s nothing with "Hannah Montana" in it that won’t sell, as the highly anticipated 3-D concert film "Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert," which opens tomorrow, found many parents bemoaning the limited release and saying that it creates a scarcity of tickets just like t he live shows.
"Over a thousand showtimes are already sold out across the country," said Harry Medved of the online ticket agency Fandango. He said the film has been a top seller since tickets became available on Dec. 1, and is the best-selling concert film in Fandango's seven-year history.
"You'll have a tough time seeing the movie on opening night Friday or Saturday in a major metropolitan area," he said.
The fast ticket sales were prompted by the fact that the movie, which features footage from Miley’s sold out Hannah Montana 69-city winter tour, will be screened nationally for just one week.
However, fans have further chances to see Miley Cyrus on her Disney Channel sitcom, or in the upcoming full length feature film based on the popular “Hannah Montana” series. The movie will supposedly start filming this summer, and it was planned by Disney a few months ago.
"The movie is set to begin filming this summer and the script, which needs a little tweaking, has been green lighted for the past few months," a source was quoted by Star Magazine.
