Amy Winehouse Getting Ready For Grammy Trip

British singer Amy Winehouse took a short break from rehab on Monday to meet with U.S. Embassy officials to discuss the procedure for renewing her visa.

Sporting a white skirt and polka dot top, looking healthier than she looked in recent weeks, the 24-year-old singer exited her central London rehab clinic accompanied by her father Mitch and a nurse.

Winehouse, who has been nominated for six Grammy awards, might face some difficulties in receiving a visa due to her arrested for possession of cannabis in Norway last year. She is planning to appeal against the fine in a Norwegian court later this month. Obtaining a US visa would allow Winehouse to attend the Grammy ceremony in Los Angeles on February 10.

"The appointment at the US Embassy was made some time ago and was part of process for obtaining a visa. No decision has been made about the Grammys," a spokesman for Winehouse said. "Amy was accompanied by a nurse as the appointment was under supervision. She has not left rehab and remains under the care of the clinic."

The singer checked in the Capio Nightingale clinic in north London on January 24, after a video of her smoking crack cocaine surfaced online.

She was briefly taken to a hospital Thursday night, after reaching dangerous levels of dehydration. According to her father, the overnight stay was necessary "to rehydrate her after she'd been vomiting" while going through detox.

"Everything is going according to plan and she's perfectly okay," he said.
