The latest celebrity to join the rehab trend is Hollywood actress Kirsten Dunst, who checked herself into rehab, a close source to the star confirmed the reports.

“She desperately needed help,” a source told Star magazine. “She seemed to be intoxicated when she checked in because she was acting really erratic. She was extremely emotional, constantly breaking down in tears.

”She not in a good place right now, but thankfully, she's getting the help she needs.”

The 25-year-old actress, who has a party girl reputation which got her the “Drunkst” nickname, is currently receiving treatment at the exclusive Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Utah, the same clinic where Lindsay Lohan spent her summer and actress Eva Mendes also took “some much needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support.”

“She's not doing well,” another source was quoted by People as saying. “People were pushing her to go in there but there was no intervention… She has been partying hard for a while and I'm sure the Heath Ledger thing put people over the edge.”

“She’s been crying a lot lately, a lot built up. …Everybody hits that bottom where you feel [so] scared that that one heavy night of partying can really wake you up. It's good she's getting herself help,” the source added.

Cirque Lodge provides alcohol rehab and drug rehab treatment services at two main facilities: the Lodge and the Studio. According to Cirque Lodge’s website the Lodge is a private substance abuse mountain retreat while the drug treatment center at the Studio is located near the base of Mount Timpanogos and the mouth of Provo Canyon.

Dunst, who has over 50 television and film appearances under her belt since she made her early Hollywood debut in the Tom Cruise/Brad Pitt thriller “Interview With a Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles,” just wrapped shooting “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People,” in which she stars as a journalist, opposite Simon Pegg (“Hot Fuzz”) and Megan Fox (“Transformers”). She's next signed on to star in “Sweet Relief.”
