Ex Detroit TV News Anchor Facing Embezzlement Charges Found Dead

A former TV news anchor was found dead in her home on Vinserra Boulevard in Michigan. She was accused of embezzling from a man she had a relationship with and she advised financially.

Susanne Wrangler was found unresponsive by one of her relatives Saturday afternoon shortly before 3 p.m.  in her home in suburban Royal Oak, local police told The Detroit News. The relatives immediately called the police.

“She was found by a family member and pronounced dead at 3:27 p.m. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of her death,” Detective Dan Swiatkowski told The Detroit News.

The police do not know what caused the woman to die; there has not been any confirmation on it, according to Swiatkowski. An autopsy is planned already to establish for sure the cause of the death, he added. However, sources close to the investigation said Wrangler’s death is being investigated as a suicide.

The victim, known as Suzanne Page, by the name she worked under, retired last week from Lansing Station WLAJ. The 42-year-old woman previously worked at WDIV-TV in Detroit.

Wrangler had been arraigned on felony charges of embezzlement by an agent and larceny by conversation. She was facing a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison for each charge. She was just released from the Oakland County Jail on Thursday and was scheduled to appear in Oak Park District Court on Tuesday for a preliminary exam. She pleaded not guilty in both accusations.
