Mario Kart Wii Vrrooms On April 27 in US

Nintendo is ready to unleash a new game for its little gaming wonder, Nintendo Wii. On April 27, Mario Kart Wii will be launched in the United State, together with a new accessory that will delight the gamers: Wii Wheel. The game will be launched in Europe on April 11th.

With a broadband hookup to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, players will be able to compete with up to 11 other drivers from around the world for racing dominance.

Mario Kart Wii is bringing 16 new courses, in addition to the 16 classic courses from previous Mario Kart games and it promises a lot of fun as the players will have the option to race with karts or motorbikes.

Anyway, Nintendo said that the Wii Wheel will be sold also as a separate accessory, so everyone in the household can race with its own wheel. However, the Wii Wheel is not the only method to control the kart. The game supports Wii Remote turned on its side, Wii Remote and Nunchuk combination, Classic Controller and even Nintendo GameCube controller.

True to the series, the game features tons of racing, plenty of power-ups and oodles of objects for players to use to slow down other drivers. And 10 battle arenas will keep players busy between trips around the circuit. In the multiplayer mode, the game supports up to four players.

Mario Kart Wii is the latest game from the Mario Kart franchise, which debuted in 1992 with Super Mario Kart.

Nintendo promised also a new Wii Channel, the Mario Kart Channel, where players will be able to monitor their ranking against others with data compiled from races completed online.
