A man claiming to have worked as Lindsay Lohan’s bodyguard for five months last year filed a lawsuit against the young actress, alleging Lindsay and her production company owe him $55,000 for his services and the emotional distress he suffered at the time.

David Kim filed a lawsuit Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court against Lindsay Lohan and her production company Crossheart Productions, alleging the star employed him for 19 weeks then refused to pay him.  

Kim claims to have been hired via “various oral and text messages” to provide personal security for Lindsay at a rate of $4,000 per week for 24-hour service or $2,800 a week for the night shift and that he never got paid, reports People magazine.

The man says he was hired in October 2006 and he resigned in March 2007, when he still had not collected his paychecks.

The $55,000 he claims to be owed includes protection from paparazzi and persistent fans, acting as chauffeur for the 21-year-old actress and her friends and even offering his services to secure VIP tables at concerts and clubs for his client.

Kim has more to say. He claims that not only was he not paid for his services, but he even paid with his own money to meet Lindsay’s demands and never recovered it. The man says he spent $10,000 out of his own pocket for extra mileage, valet tips and related expenses.

Another portion of the $55,000 he is asking for, around $1,470, is meant to cover expenses incurred in a November 2006 car accident when Lindsay’s driver made an illegal turn to avoid paparazzi and hit Kim's trailing vehicle, per E! Online.

While Kim appears to have such vivid memories of his time as bodyguard to Lindsay Lohan, he may as well be non-existent to the actress. Her rep told People: “I’m not aware of that bodyguard. I’ve never even heard of that person.”

His lawsuit nevertheless alleges fraud, intentional infliction of emotional distress, breach of oral contract and violation of several labor codes.
