Last night the playoffs games took a new turn, as all of
Thursday’s winners were teams led with 0 – 2.
The Houston Rockets managed to beat the Utah Jazz with a 94 –
92 win and are now expected to present a whole different attitude for game four
this Saturday.
"This was a very emotional win for us. We played like
we really didn't want to go home early. We played with a lot of passion and a
lot of heart," said McGrady at the end of the game according to the Canadian
Press.
The Rockets, even without their gigantic center, Yao Ming,
who is out for the season, managed to outscore Utah in the paint with 40 – 26.
Rafer Alston had 20 points and 5 assists and Carl Landry finished the game with
11 rebounds and a big block on Williams’ buzzer shot at the end of the game.
Deron Williams had 28 points and 12 assists, Carlos Boozer scored
15 points and made 13 rebounds and Mehmet Okur had 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The Toronto Raptors had a hard time again with Dwight Howard
in the paint, but Sam Mitchell’s new strategy worked pretty good. The coach
teamed up Howard with his rookie Jamario Moon, who had a good defensive game
against Orlando’s center. The game ended 108 – 94 for the Raptors.
The Cleveland Cavaliers didn’t come close to their
performances in the first two games, barely keeping up with exploding Wizards. Washington’s
team won with a clear 108 – 72 and the series seem to be on fire again.
