Latest rumors revolving around Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo's alleged split suggest that the Dallas Cowboys quarterback broke up with the starlet because of intense media buzz and also because her father, Joe, got too involved in their relationship offering uncalled-for advice regarding his career and affairs.

Despite being named one of the factors in Jessica's split from her first husband, Nick Lachey, Joe Simpson, who always had a heavy hand in both his daughters' lives, didn't make things easier for her relationship this time around either.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Joe got much too involved and Tony reportedly got fed up with him "not only telling Jessica every move to make," but also offering "unsolicited advice on his career, endorsement opportunities and things that have nothing to do with him dating Jessica."

Tony wasn't very thrilled by Jessica's Glamour magazine interview, in which she referred to him as her "future husband," and according to a fellow Cowboys player, Tony also felt that his romantic relationship was distracting him from his football career.

In the meantime, there is still no official confirmation of the separation from any of their camps, but the Dallas News, quoting "two people close to Tony and Jess," reported that the couple have parted ways.

However, Tony is still expected to accompany Jess to her sister Ashlee's weeding to Pete Wentz over the weekend. OK! Magazine reported that Jessica gave him an "ultimatum" that if he won't show up at the wedding, they are definitely over.
