Ashlee Simpson finally found the right moment to confirm what everyone already knows for weeks: she's pregnant.

After she and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, 28, exchanged vows in front of close friends and family in the backyard of her parents' home during a fairytale-like wedding ceremony, Ashlee revealed her pregnancy to everyone at the reception, OK! Magazine reported.

Although pregnancy rumors have been going around for some time now, Ashlee never directly answered questions about it, and always skirted around the issue. But there's no doubt anymore.

Little over a month after announcing her engagement to Wentz (not that long after the baby rumors started) the younger Simpson walked down the isle wearing an ivory gown by Monique Lhuillier. Wentz wore a Dior Homme tuxedo. The sunset ceremony was officiated by Ashlee's dad, Joe Simpson.

"We're delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends," a spokesperson for the couple was quoted by People.com as saying.

As previously reported, Jessica Simpson, who was accompanied at the event by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, acted as maid of honor while Pete's bulldog Hemingway acted as ring bearer.

Also in attendance were Nicole Richie and Joel Madden as well as close friends Donald Faison ("Scrubs") and his girlfriend, CaCee Cobb.

Helped by wedding planner Mindy Weiss, Ashlee, who recently said she never dreamed about her wedding as a little girl and began dreaming about it since getting engaged, managed to pull it off.

Her "Alice in Wonderland" themed reception included white tents erected on the Simpson's Encino California property decorated in a goth rock style: black rugs, white couches with red pillows, black chandeliers and lots of red roses.

The reception featured a wedding cake by Sam Godfrey of Perfect Endings with a top hat, tea pot, stop watch and a pot of flowers on top. Guests were served Rose Veuve Clicquot champagne followed by a sit-down dinner and dancing to a DJ.

Ashlee and Pete first started dating two years ago though both initially denied it. It wasn't until mid-2007 that they acknowledged the relationship, when Wentz told In Touch magazine that "I have never met somebody who makes me feel the way she makes me feel."

Engagement rumors started earlier this year when Ashlee was spotted wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring, which she later explained was only a promise ring. In April however, the couple was happy to announce they had gotten engaged.
