Changes are happening in Britney Spears’ life according to recent media reports. She is moving out of her paparazzi-haunted home in Los Angeles and she is also preparing for the July 31 hearing that will decide whether she remains under her father’s care.
Britney Spears’ father and current co-conservator intends to sell her Beverly Hills home, it was revealed Tuesday in Los Angeles probate court. Her hilltop house has become a magnet for paparazzi and is the site of her notorious January hold-up with police.
While it is not clear where she intends to move, People magazine quotes an unnamed source explaining that having “more privacy” and “wide open spaces” where she can raise her sons freely “has been a goal for some time.”
Britney’s caretaking of the boys has had its ups and downs ever since she divorced Kevin Federline and he sought sole physical and legal custody of sons Sean Preston, 2 and Jayden James, 1.
In January, after she was taken from her home by ambulance and admitted under involuntary psychiatric hold, Britney lost all visitation rights with her sons. After her father became her co-conservator in February, Britney began to change for the better, there was no more erratic behavior in public and she soon had visitation rights with her boys again.
Jamie Spears’ co-conservatorship with lawyer Andrew Wallet could change its status July 31, when a court hearing has been scheduled to re-evaluate the situation. A judge ordered the 26-year-old singer Tuesday to undergo psychological testing in order to establish whether she is fit to regain control of personal and professional issues, per the Los Angeles Times.
Britney’s court-appointed attorney, Samuel Ingham, said in court that Britney would be out of state for several days but did not give details regarding her trip. One can speculate that she will be in Louisiana to support her little sister Jamie Lynn Spears as she gives birth to her first child with fiancé Casey Aldridge.
