Mario Lopez seems to be the hottest bachelor, at least
according to People magazine. Lopez replaced previous hot bachelor Matthew
McConaughey, who is no bachelor anymore, as his girlfriend is about to give
birth.
Lopez has recently become a bachelor, after splitting with
his ex-girlfriend Karina Smirnoff, apparently because “the relationship wasn’t
heading in the right direction,” as Smirnoff’s spokesperson told People. The
two started dating in 2006 when they were partners in the third season of ABC’s
show “Dancing with the Stars.” They were on and off for some time, and they
even moved in together for a while, but eventually it didn’t work out, and here
we have a single Lopez again.
The Latin lover is so self-confident that he decided to show
some of his weaknesses to People, telling the magazine used to be so fat that
he looked like a sumo wrestler.
"My mom had to pull the fat folds apart when she bathed
me!" he confessed.
It’s hard to believe the present exercise master, who wrote
the book “Mario Lopez’s Knockout Fitness, was once a chubby boy.
He also described the kind of girl he appreciates, saying he
wants her to be “from a modest sort of upbringing, because it’s more
relatable.” He told People he was “a very down-home kind of guy.”
Lopez, who is currently starring in “A Chorus Line” on
Broadway, topped the list of hot bachelors that included Brody Jenner and
Frankie Delgado, Terrence Howard, Scarlett Johansson’s twin brother Hunter,
James Blake and Adam Levine.
The third position on the list is occupied by David Cook,
who has quickly turned from a musical rising star into a sex symbol, although
he claims he is shy and romantic and has no skills to seduce girls.
Getting back to Lopez, he rose to fame after his portrayed
A.C. Slater in the teen series “Saved by the Bell.” During the five-year run of
the show, the actor had enough time to gather quite a fanclub formed by teenage
girls. After the series finished, Lopez appeared in several television shows
and hosted some primetime television pageants. He says he is still friends with
“Saved by the Bell” co-star Mark-Paul Gosselaar, the actor who portrayed Zack
Morris in the series.
