Ellen Degeneres scooped her 10th Emmy award and her fourth Outstanding Talk Show Host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
At the Friday night event, which took place at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, she was joined by partner Portia de Rossi who sported a glittering engagement ring studded with pink diamonds.
Ellen DeGeneres, 50, will marry Australian actress Portia de Rossi, 35, the host announced on her May 16, 2008 talk show. The two are engaged and will benefit from the overturn of the same-sex marriage ban in California, while it lasts.
The two have been dating as far back as 2004. Portia de Rossi came out of the closet in 2005, although it was widely known that she had been dating singer Francesca Gregorini, daughter of actress Barbara Bach and stepchild of Ringo Starr, between 2000 and 2004. She was previously married to documentary filmmaker Mel Metcalfe.
Ellen DeGeneres's successful show has already won 10 Emmy awards. In fact, DeGeneres won all Emmy awards for Outstanding Talk Show Host since the show premiered and also won four Outstanding Talk Show Emmys and two Outstanding Special Class Writing Emmys. The talk show has been renewed through the 2010-2011 season.
She is being tight-lipped about any details regarding her wedding, which she called "overdue". DeGeneres came out in 1997 during the fourth season of Ellen.
