Actress Amy Adams: Enchanted and Engaged

After being together for over six years, actress Amy Adams and her boyfriend Darren Legallo finally decided to make the big step.

The 33-year-old "Enchanted" star met Legallo in 2001 during acting class, and started their relationship as friends before dating a year afterwards.

"He's really special," Adams was quoted as telling People last year. "I'm really lucky because he's not competitive with me. He supports and embraces my success as mine. And he has his own goals for himself, but he never makes my success his failure."

Legallo reportedly popped the question bearing a diamond bauble by French jewelry designer Jean Dousset of Beverly Hills.

"It's really important to have someone to remind you who you are," Adams told USA Today earlier this year. "I'll run all over but come back to him, and I know who I am."

"My boyfriend definitely altered my path," she added. "He’s the most generous person I know."

According to USA Today, the couple is set to walk the down aisle sometime next year.

Aside from starring in Disney's huge hit, Amy Adams was nominated for an Academy Award for 2005's "Junebug", and had a recurring role on NBC's "The Office." She can next be seen starring opposite film icon Meryl Streep in "Doubt" due in December.
