Codemned fans rejoice! At Gamer’s day Sega announced that
its popular game will get a sequel. Entitled Condemned 2: Bloodshot, the game
will be available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A possible launch date is in
early 2008, but Sega didn’t released a more specific date.
Monolith Productions will be again responsible for the
development of the game. As for the storyline Sega said that the players will
take again the role of Serial Crimes Unit investigator Ethan Thomas.
For the new game Sega promised a variety of firearms, blunt
instruments and an all-new fighting system complete with defensive and
offensive combo chains, as well as grapples and holds. Also, the players wil
have access to a new set of forensic tools.
“Condemned 2: Bloodshot will keep gamers on the edge of
their seats,” said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of
America. “Experience all the tension, psychological terror, and a variety of
first-person hand-to-hand fighting mechanics in this innovative atmospheric
thriller gamers have been longing for.”
