Some Old Magic Business: “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”

While Warner Bros. Pictures has already picked up its next similar franchise, the fifth installment of the “Harry Potter” movie series has been breaking some box office records! Although it is darker than the first movie and even more serious, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” has still driven Harry’s fans crazy. They seem to still be satisfied by the way the filmmakers have put on the screen J.K. Rowling’s fifth fantastic story.

“Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” features a conspiracy at the Hogwart’s School of Wizardry and Witchcraft that aims to cover up the existence of the evil Lord Voldemort and to keep the students from practicing magic. That is the reason for the children’s rebellion, which will be headed by the one and only boy wizard Harry Potter.

It is the development of Harry Potter that is the central theme on which the fifth movie focuses. The character is now older and more mature, and he will even experience his first kiss ever! Daniel Radcliffe himself, the actor that has become famous for playing Harry Potter’s character since the beginning of the movie series, has grown older since the first installment; he was then 11 years old and now he is 17, and he is in a continual struggle to show that he’s a grown up now. Radcliffe has even appeared completely naked on stage while acting in “Equus”.

But to return to the movie, everything seems to be very similar to the adventures within the other previous movies, although there are of course new characters introduced and new responsibilities for the main hero and his friends. However, this hasn’t seemed to be a problem for Harry’s true fans. They just love Harry Potter and his adventures!

“Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” will however reveal some new things about Harry’s early life and his connection to the evil Lord Voldermort and this seem to be the most important trigger for the plot within the next two installments of the movie series. Another new thing about the fifth “Harry Potter” movie that took in $74 million from its first day of release is that it was helmed by a new director, David Yates, who is to direct the next sequel too “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince”.

It seems that Yates knew how to keep Harry’s fans satisfied till next summer, when the sixth movie will be released.
