Multiplatinum R&B singer Usher and his pregnant girlfriend Tameka Foster will not be getting married in the Hamptons as expected, Usher’s publicist announced.

In a brief statement released for AP, publicist Patti Webster said that the wedding was canceled and added that no additional information will be given.

Usher, 28-year-old, and Foster, a 37-year-old stylist who has worked with Lauryn Hill, Toni Braxton and Usher himself, had been expected to wed Saturday.

In January the couple announced Foster, who has three children from a previous marriage, is pregnant and will give birth in the fall. For Usher this would have been the first marriage.

In April the couple got engaged and said they want to marry before the end of the year.

Ever since Usher become involved with Foster there were rumors that she wants to be his manager, but the singer denied the information.

Two weeks ago Usher wrote an open letter to People, in which he explained: "I am happy, excited, completely clear and independent on my direction, feelings, decisions and I am NOT BEING LED".

From his debut in 1994, Usher has sold approximately 30 million albums worldwide and has won five Grammy Awards.
