September 11th promises to rock the US music domain, with high expectations concerning album sales. It regards the rap sector, with both 50 Cent and Kanye West releasing their albums, “Curtis”, respectively “Graduation”.

Bearing in mind the 2004 success with his 1.14 million copies sold of “The Massacre”, Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent believes that the odds will be on his side again. In 2004 he outsold West, the latter selling only 860,000 copies of “Late Registration” on its first week of release.

Having some forecasts saying that West stands a good chance in winning the competition, 50 takes a step forward and declares for SOHH.com in an interview on Friday: "Let’s raise the stakes. If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I'll no longer write music. I'll write music and work with my other artists, but I won't put out anymore solo albums."

Contrary to Kanye’s habitual reactions, he turned down the live debate invitation with his rival. He declared during the MTV Video Music Awards nominations "I thought [the debate] was the stupidest thing. When my album drops and Fifty's album drops, you're going to get a lot of good music at the same time," HopHopDX quoted him.

50 Cent went on with the declarations battle: "I bet this: When Kanye West's sales come in, he's gonna have a 70% decrease cause Def Jam is gonna buy records [the first week] to keep him closer to 50 Cent. So watch the first week and then watch the second week. Watch his ass drop off the planet."

It seems that their recent collaboration didn’t calm the ego conflicts between the two par stars.
