Britney Spears is making her comeback as the pop icon she once was. This Friday, the singer was present for the opening of the LAX Nightclub at the Luxor Hotel and Casino.

From recent disheveled appearances, probably making the paparazzi enjoy their jobs more than they deserve, to her clean, glowing look on Friday night in Vegas – Britney still knows her stuff.

Wearing a flowing white mini dress, tasteful blonde wig and matching fedora, Britney walked down the red carpet and posed for the hungry photographers. There had been rumors she would not appear, but she did.

She offered no interviews, but was all smiles as she headed into the nightclub where her new single “Gimme More” was blaring. Britney entered the DJ booth where DJ AM was stationed and took the mike.

“How you guys feeling? Let’s have a good night,” she reportedly said to the partiers crowding the club.

Among them were Nicky Hilton and boyfriend David Katzenberg, Dave Navarro, Wilmer Valderrama, Brody Jenner and Josh Henderson, according to E!Online.

Britney herself enjoyed the company of magician Criss Angel, whom she was linked to several weeks ago. According to People magazine, the pair hit the dance floor, where Britney and Criss even shared a lollipop.

Britney and Criss went to the Noir Bar next door that same night and returned to LAX a while later.

There have been speculations that Britney, whose brand new album is due for release on Nov. 13, will perform at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards. Criss will supposedly help her make a grand entrance – magical, quite literally.
