Actress Jennifer Garner is reportedly in the midst of negotiations to star in Mark Waters’ “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past,” alongside Matthew McConaughey.
The “13 Going on 30” actress could star in Mark Waters’ upcoming romantic comedy “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past,” according to Entertainment Weekly.
Matthew McConaughey has already been signed to star as the bachelor that attends his younger brother’s wedding, only to find himself haunted by the ghosts of his past loves (not sure if that is metaphorical or if they are all dead).
Shooting for the New Line project reportedly begins in January. Mark Waters previously directed “Freaky Friday” and “Mean Girls.”
EW reports that “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past” was initially at Disney, where Ben Affleck was set to play the bachelor. It all fell through in 2003.
Coincidentally, Jennifer and Ben are married nowadays and have a baby girl called Violet. The actress next appears on the big screen in late September, in Universal Pictures’ “The Kingdom” and in December, in Fox Searchlight's “Juno.”
Jennifer stars alongside Jamie Foxx, Jeremy Piven and Chris Cooper in “The Kingdom,” a Saudi terrorism thriller scheduled for a September 28 release. In the black comedy “Juno,” her co-stars are Ellen Page and Michael Cera. It is slated for a December release.
Jennifer is currently playing the role of Roxanne in a Broadway version of Cyrano.
Husband Ben Affleck will see the release of his directorial debut, “Gone, Baby, Gone,” in late October. The crime thriller stars brother Casey Affleck, Michelle Monaghan, Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris.
It was also announced in late August that Ben had joined the cast of ensemble comedy “He’s Just Not That Into You,” which already includes Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Connelly, Bradley Cooper, Ginnifer Goodwin and Drew Barrymore.
