Alienware offers more hard drive space by introducing single
and dual Samsung 320GB hard drive configurations in RAID 0 and RAID 1 in the
17" Area-51 m9750 and Aurora m9700 notebooks, as well as a single Samsung
320GB configuration in the 15.4" Area-51 m5550 notebook.
“Hard drive technologies for notebooks have advanced rapidly
in 2007, and Alienware has led the charge every step of the way,” said Bryan de
Zayas, Associate Director of Product Marketing at Alienware. “By being the
first manufacturer to introduce notebooks featuring Samsung 320GB hard drives,
64GB solid state drives and a combination of both, Alienware's ongoing
commitment to consumer satisfaction and cutting-edge excellence is
unmistakable.”
Earlier this month, Alienware announced it will provide a
128GB SSD configuration, by offering dual 64GB SSD drives in a RAID 0 array
available on the Area-51 m9750 gaming notebook. Now Area-51 m9750 offers the
combination of a 320GB hard drive and a 64GB solid state drive.
The customers who will choose the dual Samsung 320GB hard
drive configurations will be able to enjoy up to 640 GB of storage.
And if you are wondering what to do with this huge amount of
GBs, Alienware has some suggestions. For example you can load your notebook
with up to 107 games or you can store somewhere around 160 movies.
Also, in case you’re bored, the hard drives can be loaded 163,000
songs, which means that you can listen non-repeating music for two years in
row.
