Jessica Biel Could Join Justice League's Superheroes

The lovely Jessica Biel is reportedly in talks to become Wonder Woman in Warner Bros.’ upcoming superhero film, “Justice League of America.”

It was announced in late August that at least two actors who have embodied two very special superheroes would not be part of the super-team featured in “Justice League of America.”

Christian Bale, who played Batman, and Brandon Routh, who played Superman, would not join the cast of the forthcoming superhero movie. At that time, no actors were reported to be in talks or to have signed to play any of the justice-making heroes: the Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and of course, the above-mentioned Superman and Batman.

However, the first step in casting may have been made, as Jessica Biel is reportedly in negotiations to star as Wonder Woman in the DC Comics-based ensemble project, according to Variety.

In August, Moviehole.net announced the following: “Brandon Routh and Christian Bale won't be starring as Superman and Batman, respectively, in the Justice League movie -- but they will both still be starring in the stand-alone Superman and Batman sequels.

“So don't fret fans, there will only be a new Bats and Supes for the team-up movie.”

Warner Bros. has declined to comment on the numerous rumors, saying it would rather announce an entire cast than various bits and pieces.

According to the site, casting for “Justice” was supposed to begin in January 2008. According to Variety, a director has also been found for the project, in the person of George Miller, who signed on last week, while Kieran and Michele Mulroney have already penned the script.

Jessica Biel is currently filming “Powder Blue,” an indie drama where she stars alongside Forest Whitaker.

She first found fame as an actress in the long-running family drama “7th Heaven,” where she played a minister’s rebellious daughter that tends to be the black sheep of the family.

Biel left the show in 2001, when she was 19, and ultimately turned to impressive roles portraying strong, determined, self-reliant women, in movies such as “Blade: Trinity” (2004) and “Stealth” (2005).

Her recent screen credits include roles in “The Illusionist” (2006), “Home of the Brave” (2006) and “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry” (2007).
