Two Planes Collide At Heathrow Airport

Two planes collided while getting ready to take-off from the Heathrow airport on Monday. The collision occurred at 10:20 pm between The British Airways Boeing 747 to Singapore and a Sri Lankan Airlines Airbus A340.

"Heathrow airport can confirm that two aircraft were involved in an incident earlier this evening on the ground.”, a spokesman for British Airways said. He described the incident as a “minor collision” .

"Engineers are inspecting the aircraft to ascertain the damage. The passengers have been offloaded and returned to the terminal building.” he also added.

Nobody was hurt during the incident and the passengers had the option of choosing between having their plane tickets paid back or spending the night in a hotel while waiting for the next plane available.

The spokesman declared that a investigation has begun, but he doesn’t disclosed any other details.
