Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry is four months pregnant and very very happy. The mom-to-be even has eco-friendly plans for her baby!
Halle Berry is over the moon as she and partner Gabriel Aubry await the birth of their first child. While promoting her most recent film, “Things We Lost in the Fire,” earlier this month, the actress told reporters:
“There's no bad. There is nothing bad about it. The morning sickness and the vomiting and the hot sweats. Nothing's been bad about it. I've loved every second of it,” she said of being pregnant.
A joyful Halle told People magazine at Monday's Hollywood premiere for “Things We Lost in the Fire”: “They even have organic disposable diapers now that you can use. I'm working on the nursery, but it's all going to be organic and eco-friendly.
“There are so many things out now that you can use. I'm going to really try hard to make it all organic!”
Halle found love almost two years ago in the person of Canadian model Gabriel Aubry. The two met during a Versace photo shoot in late 2005. It was pretty much love at first sight and the two remained together. The 41-year-old actress obviously has great faith in the father of her baby and is also eager for more children.
“He does what he says he's going to do. He's very honest,” she told Oprah Winfrey in early October while on her show. “I've learned to really appreciate honesty, even when you're saying what I don't want to hear, because it's the truth.”
“He's always his authentic self, never worried about being judged. He doesn't care what anybody thinks of who he is. To walk with that kind of confidence and with integrity, I know he has ability to love me, love our children, and he will do that,” she added.
“There's just one right now. But we're hoping right after this one to do it again,” the actress said.
“Things We Lost in the Fire,” slated for an Oct. 19 nationwide release, is a drama directed by Susanne Bier, starring Halle Berry as a mother-of-two whose husband (played by David Duchovny) dies unexpectedly.
Grief-stricken, she turns to his childhood friend (Benicio del Toro) and together they try to mend their lives.
Halle has said that this role helped her explore feelings of motherhood.
