The 19-year-old son of soap star Hunter Tylo died in a swimming pool accident last week.

Michael Tylo, Jr., son of soap star Hunter Tylo, drowned and was pronounced dead Thursday night in Henderson, Nevada, according to the Clark County Coroner, Michael Murphy, reports People.com.

The boy was only 19. His death was ruled as accidental. Murphy told People.com: “It has already been determined that this was an accident. Looking at the report, it appears that he fell in the pool after having some sort of medical event. It says on the report that he had a seizure disorder.”

Michael was discovered by an unidentified family member at a family residence, Murphy added.

Hunter Tylo stars on CBS' long-running soap “The Bold and the Beautiful.” The 45-year-old actress, who has three other children, was in Los Angeles at the time of the incident, show representative Eva Demirjian told the Associated Press. Demirjian declined further comment.

Hunter Tylo's former husband Michael Tylo is an assistant professor of film at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the AP informs. The actress’s three other children are Chris, Izabella Gabrielle and Katya Ariel.

People.com reports that Tylo has had heartbreak before, when almost ten years ago, her infant daughter Katya was diagnosed with a rare cancer of the right eye called retinoblastoma. The child underwent surgery, her condition worsened and then she miraculously recovered, the site reports.

E! Online notes that Tylo “famously” sued producer Aaron Spelling for wrongful termination in 1997, when she was “unceremoniously” fired from the television series “Melrose Place” after announcing she was pregnant. She eventually won a $4.89 million judgment, but lost the role.

Tylo has been playing Dr. Taylor Hayes on “The Bold and the Beautiful” since 1992, joining the show full-time in 1998. She is among its longest serving cast members.
