Abraham Biggs Jr., 19, a young college student from Florida killed himself
by taking a drug overdose in front of a live webcam. He broadcasted his final
hours via Justin.tv, a website which allows users to broadcast live, to other
content-sharing sites.
After it was clear that Abraham Biggs Jr. is no joking, some
users contacted the Web site to notify the police but by the time police
arrived a the scene, the young student was dead.

London - The British government announced plans Wednesday to clamp down on prostitution involving women who are controlled by pimps or have become victims of so-called sex-slave trafficking, mainly from Eastern Europe and Asia.
Men who have sex with women trafficked or forced into prostitution would in future face prosecution as paying for sex with a woman "controlled for another's gain" would become a "strict liability offence," Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said.

Geneva - All the delegations attended "constructive" talks on the Russia-Georgia conflict Wednesday and agreed to meet again for another round of negotiations next month, the European Union representative to the discussions said.

Washington - Alaska Senator Ted Stevens, the longest serving Republican ever in Congress' upper chamber, bid farewell Thursday to his colleagues following his narrow defeat in this month's election.
