Caylee's Mom Was Released from Florida Jail on $500k Bond

Casey Anthony, the mother of missing Florida toddler Caylee Anthony, was released today from the Orange County jail in Orlando on a $500,000 bail and was allowed to return to her parents' home, after she underwent a psychological evaluation and was fitted with an electronic ankle device.

Casey Anthony, 22, faces multiple charges, including child neglect, making false statements and obstructing an investigation in the awkward disappearance of 3-year-old Caylee, who is missing since June. Casey didn't report Caylee missing for more than a month, and the disappearance was reported only through the efforts of the child's grandmother.

Casey Anthony is currently the only person of interest in the case. She entered a written plea of not guilty. Meanwhile, specially trained corpse-detecting dogs found a scent in her car, and hair, dirt and a strange stain were found in the trunk of the vehicle. Results of the tests are still pending. Casey, who has been jailed since July, was also hit by testimonies from a neighbor, who told detectives Anthony had asked to borrow a shovel sometime in June, and from one of her boyfriends, who said she hid Caylee's disappearance from him. Casey Anthony initially claimed that she gave her baby to a babysitter, which proved soon a lie.

The woman got out of jail after 36 days inside after a Tampa-based bail bond company posted a $500,000 bond yesterday. The bond was posted after negotiations with bounty hunter Leonard Padilla his nephew Tony Padilla and a Texas-based insurance company.
