The guys at the Dallas Stampede Brewing Co. have announced that country singer Jessica Simpson became the new face of their Stampede Light Plus beer. While Jessica cannot apparently be mistaken for a beer consumer, her face might eventually bring good business to the beer brand.
Stampede Light Plus is a light beer that also has vitamin content. The guys that market the beer call these vitamins “functional additives.”
According to the E! Online magazine, Jessica Simpson said in a statement that “As an entrepreneur, I am always looking for ways to diversify my portfolio with good ideas and good people. Yes, I work out and take care of myself, but I also like a cold beer once in a while."
The guys over at Dallas Stampede Brewing Co. plan to advertise just the fact that their beer is after all a way of people that like to drink beer and want to keep fit to combine both things. It is more likely that the beer will have some appeal to women, since it's pretty hard to imagine men that would walk into a bar and order this sort of brew.
And if you are wondering what the singer is getting from this arrangement, well it's 15 percent from the shares of the brewery. Even though no further financial details of the deal have been made public, the stake looks like good business for Jessica.
So good luck Jessica! May your beer keep lots of people fit, while they are watching your quarterback boyfriend playing for the Dallas Cowboys.
