Apple is known for its almost flawless products and software, which is probably the reason why more and more customers turn to the Mac, attracted by it being virus-free. Apple is also famous for quickly releasing updates and new versions of its products. The iPod is probably one of the products with the most versions, made to fit anyone’s needs and meet the expectations of a wide variety of customers. Except for varied prices depending on the model, the iPod truly comes in all shapes, sizes and colors.
Lately, Apple launched an updated version of the MobileMe software. Despite it being a very important product, the updated software did not benefit a high-profile and widely advertised launch that other Apple releases have had so far. Basically, Apple simply notified users on the MobileMe support page, neglecting other advertising means, such as the MobileMe website.
The updates and improvements include the localization of the applications and better suggestions provided when your desired sign-up username is taken. Also, the data-transfer is more accurate and the storage allocated to the menu is improved. The Keyboard Shortcuts were fixed, and an enhanced performance is easily noticed when using Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox 3. Also, the ability to export vCards is back in business. The display and resolution were also worked on and the results are more than pleasing.
Steve Jobs issued an e-mail to Apple employees in which he admitted that MobileMe had undergone such extensive updating because the first version did not rise up to the usual Apple standards. The update was not highly advertised because it was automatic and easily noticeable by users, as the improvements are quite visible.
