The Obamania is conquering new territories.
The new frontier conquered is represented by a video game called Super Obama World. The game is modeled on Nintendo's Super Mario World and has Obama running and jumping around and doing stuff related to his presidential campaign. The game has a quite satirical scent as the character that looks like Obama must collect flags and dodge lipstick-wearing pit bulls, lobbyists and non other than Alaska’s Governor Sarah Palin.
The game can be played online for free and the developers plan to go with the game even further and add more episodes. Probably Obama’s installment at the White House and other similar events in the president’s agenda will serve as a source of inspiration.
Other satirical features of the video game include luxury stores Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue which refer to the fact that the Republican campaign spent as much as $150,000 on the wardrobe of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
The Super Obama World video game comes as another sign that the technology embraced Obama just as his presidential campaign embraced technology. And it was a decisive factor as most young voters who embraced technology voted Obama.
Obama’s rival in the battle for the White House, Republican Senator John McCain, was also embraced by technology, but in most cases he was the subject of parody.
