Shocked by the increased media attention her case received, Paris Hilton, who was ordered back to jail immediately after being released on undisclosed medical issues, accepted her sentence and denied reports claiming her intentions to appeal a Los Angeles judge's decision sending her back to her cell.
In a news release on Saturday, the 26-year-old heiress said she doesn’t want her attorneys to do anything regarding the latest turn of events adding that she appreciates the sheriff's concern for her health and welfare but will serve her time.
"Today, I told my attorneys not to appeal the judge's decision," the statement read.
"Being in jail is by far the hardest thing I have ever done," she said. "During the past several days, I have had a lot of time to think and I believe that I am learning and growing from this experience."
"I would hope going forward that the public and the media will focus on more important things like the men and women serving our country in Iraq and other places around the world," she added.
A day before releasing the statement, the Hollywood socialite was literally dragged out of court screaming and sobbing after the same judge who sentenced her to jail in the first place, ordered her to return to the downtown Twin Towers facility.
While her lawyers tried to get her out citing an undisclosed medical condition, the judge concluded that she can get the proper treatment behind bars as well.
Recent reports claimed that Hilton has not eaten or slept since she arrived at the medical ward and is being given psychoactive drugs.
