Photos of post-natal Jamie-Lynn Spears, Britney’s younger
sister, have triggered a federal photography investigation, both local and
national authorities being now in pursuit of the stolen pictures that were
initially taken by the baby’s father, Casey Aldridge.
One of the shots exposed Jamie-Lynn’s left breast while she
was feeding her daughter Maddie. Police officials believe that a Louisiana Wal-Mart
employee, where Aldridge took his camera card in order to have the pictures
developed, made copies of the photos with the purpose of selling them online.
Due to the fact that Britney’s sister is a minor, selling or buying the
pictures would translate as a violation of federal laws prohibiting child
pornography. Consequently, if the photos end up on the Internet, whoever posted
them might be in for some jail time.
Other pictures show Britney holding the baby, Jamie Lynn
along with her sister Britney and her
older brother Brian and mother Lynne Spears and Jamie by the latter’s hospital
bed.
Also, photos of Maddie by herself and a picture of Jamie
Lynn in a negligee holding the baby were on the camera card.
Although Jamie-Lynn and Casey are both victims in this case,
there are still some unanswered questions concerning the matter that needs to
be sorted out. Nowadays, almost everyone develops their photos at home,
especially when they own a digital camera. Therefore, what puzzles everybody is
Aldridge’s decision to have the photos developed at a Wal-Mart.
Authorities are now trying to track down the man who might
attempt to trade the pictures. In addition, Britney’s lawyers are thinking
about suing Wal-Mart for the suspicious security breach.
