Making her first public appearance since the Vanity Fair photo scandal, Miley Cyrus, who performed at the Disney Channel Games concert Saturday night, thanked her supportive fans who braved the rain and cold weather to be there for her.
All covered up, Disney Channel's 15-year-old "Hannah Montana" star, addressed the crowd after wrapping up her performance in Orlando.
"I hope you had an awesome time," Miley, who skipped a network media party hosted by Disney for stars and execs in town on Friday, May 2, was quoted by the Orlando Sentinel as telling her fans.
"I saw a sign back there that said, 'Miley, I'm praying for you.' I could not be more appreciative. Thank you guys for all your support. Without you, none of this would be possible. I love everyone of you and I could not be more appreciative. God bless you," she added.
The event's co-star, Jason Earles, referred to Miley as "one of the strongest people I've ever met.
"She'll do everything to make sure she does right by her fans. It will be all right. I know what kind of person she is. She has a great heart," he told the newspaper.
Starting her show with "See You Again," Miley, who seemed completely undisturbed by the controversy her sexy Vanity Fair pictures created, included in her performance two new songs from her upcoming album, "Flu on the Wall" and "Breakout."
Others who performed at the week-long Disney Channel Games include The Jonas Brothers, the Cheetah Girls, Camp Rock star Demi Lovato and Jordan Pruitt.
