Polls show voters favor Sen. Barack Obama in the presidential contest, with health care as one of the most important issues for voters. As an example, a survey carried out by the Harvard Public Opinion Research Program at the Harvard School of Public Health and Harris Interactive found that 33% favored Obama’s health care plan, while only 27% said John McCain’s plan was better.

Those who are uninsured tend to believe Obama’s plan would be more likely to provide them with coverage, so they will surely choose Obama’s plan. Barack Obama would create a new Health Insurance Exchange that would give people and small business subsidies to buy private insurance plans. He would also modernize the current system of employer- and government-provided health care.

The Democrat Presidential Candidate plans to make some investments that will lead to a more efficient medical system. He plans to invest more in preventive services, like regular screenings and healthy lifestyle information. "Barack Obama and Joe Biden believe we must redesign our health system to reduce inefficiency and waste and improve health care quality, which will drive down costs for families and individuals," the Obama-Biden plan says.
