The famous Yahoo company has its headquarters in Sunnyvale, California, more precisely in Silicon Valley. The company is an American public corporation, and it offers Internet services worldwide. The company is most popular to the public because of its world-known web portal, its widely-used search engine, the Yahoo Directory, the Yahoo Mail, but also its news and social media websites. The company was founded back in February 1994, by co-owners Jerry Yang and David Filo.

T-Mobile is a subsidiary branch of Deutsche Telekom. They are a mobile network operator, and their headquarters are in Bonn, Germany.

Recently, Yahoo and T-Mobile have decided to join forces. T-Mobile is spreading its 3G wireless network across the United States. The telephone company has turned to Yahoo to help boost their data usage, as the famous Internet company will power its search and mobile Web portal.

This Thursday, T-Mobile has announced that they will use Yahoo’s OneSearch as the main search tool when it comes to their songs. T-Mobile’s Web service is also now being rebranded as Web2go. The purpose of the new service is to provide T-mobile users an improved experience when it comes to browsing for T-Mobile mobile phones. Also, the new service will also improve the navigation on T-Mobile’s home page.

The deal also entails that Yahoo has to offer sponsored results and even display ads in some situations. The companies didn’t comment much on this aspect, but it was disclosed that the two companies will share the revenue made from the advertisements.
