The release day for Research in Motion’s BlackBerry Storm
has finally arrived and the device will be available, starting today, in all of
Verizon Wireless’ stores. The massive hype surrounding the product was caused
by the belief that the Storm might become the first real competition to Apple’s
iPhone; it received names such as the ‘real iPhone killer’ and the
presentations released over the past few weeks pointed out that the company
does mean business with the device, as its features appear to cover all the

Apple has released a software upgrade for the iPhone 3G and iPod Touch that adds new features and fixes some stability bugs. Apple has released an update for the iPhone on Thursday night and the 2.2 software update is available through iTunes, being packed with lots of goodies. The 2.1 software update was released in September. Some of the highlights of the update focus on GPS and Google Maps, which now includes Google Street View, allowing a user to see a 360-degree view of locations taken with cameras mounted on Google’s cars.
